International Expatriate Tax / Global Mobility Specialist

An International Expatriate Tax / Global Mobility Specialist is required by a global investment bank to continually uphold the Bank’s compliance position with respect to international business travel and to partner with an external global expatriate tax service provider on monitoring this population for payroll and tax reporting purposes. The role sits within the Bank’s HR International (HRI) team, which is the owner of the International Business Travellers (TRIP) Policy worldwide and acts as the Centre of Expertise for TRIP and other global mobility products. HRI has recently formulated additional tax compliance requirements regarding certain types of business travel activities.

The Bank has built an in-house team that focuses uniquely on business travellers and manages their ongoing tax compliance requirements through the implementation of innovative, rigorous and risk-focused processes. You’ll also operate and co-ordinate the day-to-day activities associated with the TRIP Policy as it impacts a particular business division and/or region. You will identify relevant travellers in their responsibility area for potential compliance action, solicit advisory support from Deutsche Bank’s external expatriate tax advisor as needed, instruct payroll activity when required and escalate cases and issues to the HRI TRIP Team Lead.

You will have experience of international expatriate tax and will probably have experience of working in a tax department (either with an accountancy practice or in industry) or within an employee global mobility department. You will need to possess strong analytical skills as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Salary:£45000 - £55000 Per Annum + bonus + excellent benefits
