Willow Resourcing is delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring Worcestershire Paralympic Swimmer Claire Cashmore over the next 4 years on the road to Rio. We will be providing Claire with financial support to cover the cost of her equipment for training and race meetings as she aims for gold in Rio in 2016.

Claire was featured as one of the faces of Channel 4’s Meet the Superhumans campaign in the run up to the London games, where she subsequently excelled, securing 2 Silvers and a Bronze in the SB8 100m Breaststroke, 4 x 100m Medley Relay and 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay respectively. Claire is determined to secure Gold in Rio and we are delighted to be able to support her quest. She is a great ambassador for disability sport and regularly gives motivational talks to both adults and children. Claire is particularly passionate about inspiring children, where able-bodied or disabled, to achieve the most they can, both in sport and in life as a whole. Claire will also become involved with our charity partner, Malvern Special Families, as she aims to promote participation in disability sport across the Worcestershire region.

We will keep you informed regarding Claire’s progress. Her main aim this year will be the IPC World Swimming Championships to be held in Canada in August. In order to secure her place, Claire will need to be at the top of her game for the Trials in late April.
