Compliance Business Partner

A Compliance Business Partner is required by a highly acquisitive group of General Insurance brokers to provide advice and support to all Group entities relating to areas of regulation and legislation applicable to their activities, ensuring the 1st line controls and compliant. This is a home-based role that will require occasional travel (c.25%) to Group sites across the South Midlands, East Anglia, the South East and the South Coast.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Proactively supporting and developing Group entities to fully understand the relevant and appropriate requirements of the FCA and other relevant regulatory bodies, through effective implementation and embedding of the Compliance Framework.
• Providing advice and guidance in relation to the development and implementation of first line operational controls, to ensure the firms comply with relevant regulation and legislation.
• Operating as the 2nd line of defence and performing and operating appropriate 2nd line controls in line with the Compliance Framework.
• Working closely with colleagues to support identification of the relevant changes in the regulatory and legislative landscape.
• Providing input into the assessment of regulatory and legislative changes, enabling accurate assessment of the impact to the business and providing input into regulatory change workstreams and or projects.
• Supporting delivery of timely acquisition due diligence and preparing and driving delivery against partner compliance integration plans.
• Collating and analysing Conduct MI and working closely with colleagues and partners to address issues in a timely manner.
• Preparing required regulatory reports, information and Conduct MI for internal committees, as required.
• Providing ongoing support and guidance in relation to regulatory and legislative queries.
• Supporting the development of and implementing regulatory training workshops and relevant communications, as required.

You will be experienced in a similar Compliance business partnering role within the General Insurance arena, with broking experience being of particular interest. You will have an excellent working knowledge of FCA regulations impacting the insurance arena and have demonstrable experience of assessing and responding to regulatory and legislative change. Superior communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.


Salary:To £65k + car allowance
