Compliance Manager

A Compliance Manager is required by a leading General Insurance broker network to manage a team of 6 and provide regulatory support and guidance to members. This is a home-based role that will require occasional travel (2-3 times per month).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting and fostering a strong compliance culture.
• Assisting the Head of Compliance in overseeing the delivery of the compliance proposition to Network Members, by managing a team of Compliance Consultants and Compliance Officers and ensuring delivery to the required standards.
• Managing, monitoring and reviewing team performance against standards and objectives in line with agreed requirements
• Providing support, challenge and guidance on the key compliance matters and the appropriateness of the associated controls, the issues and actions in relation to Members
• Acting as a ‘critical friend’ to the business, delivering constructive challenge and identifying solutions to address issues that are identified
• Shaping and developing a high performing Compliance team, through demonstratable strong and confident leadership, team development and the effective implementation of team and individual performance management disciplines
• Providing progress, audit, MI and compliance reports as required to the Head of Compliance, including reporting key compliance concerns from Member’s activities in a timely fashion.

You will be experienced in a Compliance management role within the General Insurance arena. You will have an excellent working knowledge of FCA regulations impacting the insurance arena and have demonstrable experience of leading and developing a team. Superior communication and stakeholder management skills are essential as are excellent presentation skills.


Salary:£38k - £45k + benefits
