IFA Practice Manager / Operations Manager

An IFA Practice Manager / Operations Manager is required by a leading financial planning firm with a superb reputation. A member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, helping to manage, support and motivate the operations and advisory teams and helping the business to maintain its exceptional client service standards.The client is based in North Birmingham.

This is a broad and exciting opportunity whose responsibilities will include:

Team Management

  • Appraisals
  • Performance Reviews
  • Training and personal development plans

HR

  • Recruitment
  • Pension administration
  • Oversight of payroll
  • Contracts and handbook

Operations

  • Ensure that the operations manual is kept up to date. ?
  • Be open and aware of new technology and ideas that can improve operational ?efficiency. ?
  • Ensure that the operational processes are slick and efficient and performance can be measured and policed : including time taken to ?turnaround reports, prepare for reviews and execute actions. ?
  • Ensure that the team pulls together to manage priorities and ensure that?expectations are met, and take remedial action where this is not the case. This will require close management of the team and reallocation of work to ensure timescales met, as well as encouragement of team members to take personal responsibility of their client work and motivation to ensure work is completed on time. ?
  • Take on operational projects that will improve the client experience including proposition improvements.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will be qualified to at least CII Level Diploma status and must have previous experience in a similar Practice Manager / Operations Manager role for an IFA firm. You will have a demonstrable track record of leading, managing and motivating people and have had P&L accountability. You will need to have a good understanding of FCA compliance requirements and experience of delivering business process improvements and project management. Exceptional communication skills are essential.

Salary:£55000 - £80000 Per Annum + bonus + benefits
