Lead Compliance Analyst

A Lead Compliance Analyst is required by a highly successful firm operating in the General Insurance arena to help ensure compliance of the business and all Appointed Representatives with all relevant regulations and legislation. The role is based in Central London with the flexibility to split your time between home and the office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a really positive step towards management – you’ll supervise the more junior members of the team, manage their workload and oversee their outputs. It’s anticipated that this will develop into a Compliance Manager role within 9-18 months.

Reporting into the Director of Compliance your responsibilities will include

• Enhancing, monitoring and maintaining appropriate systems and controls
• Overseeing the Compliance Monitoring Plan and providing meaningful MI to the Director of Compliance and the Board
• Providing advice to the senior management team re: any parts of the FCA compliance plan or any notification letters from the FCA
• Producing the quarterly Compliance and Risk report
• Analysing the risk register, producing exception reporting and highlighting areas of concern to senior management
• Supporting with the development of the risk framework, including the risk register and dashboard
• Performing risk assessments, analysing current risk and identifying any potential risks with a view to supporting the risk owners to mitigate that risk

To be considered for this excellent opportunity you will be an experienced Risk or Compliance professional with previous General Insurance experience and a good working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (such as ICOBS, PRIN, PROD, SYSC etc.). No previous managerial experience is required – just the desire and aptitude to manage others. You will ideally hold, or be working towards, a relevant Compliance and/or insurance qualification. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are a prerequisite for the role.
